Congratulations to Our Very Own Top Docs
Every April the Phoenix Magazine releases its Top Doc picks for the year, and every year we are extremely proud to say that we have at least one featured doctor. This year we have three! Congratulations to Jeffrey, T. Bucholz, DO, Matthew W. Doust, MD, and Steven M. Siwek, MD who was recently featured on the hit tv show The Doctors. We have a lot to be proud of here at The Pain Center of Arizona.

Even Knitters Can Suffer From Wrist Pain
Wrist pain is something that many servers, bartenders and computer techs deal with day in and day out. It’s a chronic pain that gets ignored over time and put on the back burner. It flares up every now and again, making it difficult to carry serving trays or type up an article, but then it passes and they get back to work. It doesn’t have to be that way, however.

How Do We Feel Pain?
Pain management after surgery is extremely important to many Surprise patients, as well as our Surprise pain consultants. Pain relief is a big topic in the U.S. today, simply because there are so many people who live with chronic pain every second of every day. And the reality is that they ‘live’ with this pain, and don’t tend to realize that a lot of their symptoms are completely manageable with the proper treatments.

Men and Women Truly Deal With Pain Differently
Men and women deal with chronic pain differently, and in many cases consider treatment differently. Whether you’re in Surprise, Arizona soaking up the sun, or at The Biltmore getting some work done, chronic pain affects each and every one of us at some point in our lives. The most common are chronic back pain, especially for those Surprise golfers, and migraines. When it comes to understanding and self-diagnosing the pain, women tend to do a better job at it than men.

Healthcare Answers
A lot of people have a lot of questions about healthcare reform and how it will affect us. In a bill that thicker than most books we ever read, it’s no wonder we’re all confused about how healthcare reform will benefit us now and in 2014. Many of the changes won’t even happen until 2014, but there will be some things going into effect immediately.

A Pain Consultant Does More Than Treat The Pain
You’re in pain, and your family physician can’t diagnose a treatment that will help relieve the pain, so she recommends you see an Arizona pain management consultant. But what for, you’re thinking. Why can’t my doctor just prescribe me some medication and that’ll be the end of it? How is an Arizona pain consultant going to help cure this ailment?
